thinking on it and i would like to give a shoutout to those charming silmarillion smut fic writers who captured my attention long enough with the hair porn and angsty semi-incestuous smut to let me start distinguishing the quenya names of everybody and the political situation behind scenes. by then i was reading the book itself and i was lost. so like. elf porn got me into the silmarillion, and then i stayed for the book, the meta and the tragic/fixt-it fics and i’m very grateful for it.
