i’m reading horimiya and gosh the two mains are such disasters XD hori (kyoko) and miyamura (izumi) are dating right? and it results that kyoko likes when izumi is mean to her, even though usually she is the more… aggressive one (not direct that’s izumi) and izumi usually super sweet with her.

 but izumi has a temper that only displays with like this one friend from middle school and kyoko likes it so, shaneanigans ensues where people are left like wtf why is he treating her like shit while she is all gagaga and izumi is like, kyoko why you like this xD (answer: i don’t know either but please go on, literally on the manga omg) And well, i think these two would benefit from a few talks about sexuality xD they give me switch vibes lmao. horimiya has such good pairings; if only it treated certain topics a tad more seriously (like the recurrent joke of izumi don’t finding gender a problem, like pan-bi vibes on my main boy? yay!) (and the kohai girl who is super gone on kyoko feel you there friend)

 i think there’s lot of interesting things for the reader to pierce together, soft clues. horimiya on the whole feels very… shojo light to me, which is fine!! because i love it for it, and i think that’s how you can make teenagers readers to consider things they’re facing for the first time softly (again japan. i guess horimiya is the manga you can read with your parents in the house without worrying lmao). but some jokes (like the perv english prof) (or kyoko being a tsun sometimes and letting slaps fly) are outdated. if not in japan at least for me. it’s not childish though, that’s why i like it so much. subtle i feel ^^ 

pd: i have the dubious impulse of create a give-horimiya crossover. like. why you like this brain? but it appears it has decided that it would be nice >-> is it because izumi gaves alternative vibes with the piercings and tattoos and would absolutely go on a date with kyoko to a little concert in my headcanon? (because kyoko doesn’t go out, like ever and it would be nice since the music she listen to is izumi’s and her little brother’s?) maybe. you haven’t heard it from me xD
