Cursed thought: did Stephanie Meyer read Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice, and if so, did she got inspired on Edward mind reading powers (between the other gifts) by Lestat et other’s abilities? Maybe Armand?yikes

Or were those books too much for her? I somehow can’t imagine SM not having read at least Interview with a Vampire and Lestat the Vampire…. But I can also perfectly imagine her passing them over bc mormon-thingy.
