I wonder what it means if the RM Q and VofBM are equals, for the story; Vanitas knowing that Naenia is a malnomen and the queen’s one at that? I have the feeling that Vamp.Vanitas knew about it and told him or it was somewhere between VotBM possesions going by the flashback of him learning about malnomen. I mean, Vanitas said he wasn’t sure about it, but he damn well corroborated it at his first opportunity back in memoire 13, so I say that he was like 90% convinced and praying he was wrong because Naenia is enough of a problem as it is in this last arch.
And more: if the talks about VotBM being the source of the maldition are true, the RM Queen would be then the most likely first victim of the curse; I’m pretty sure she endured it but that in the end she went crazy and needed to be killed/neutralized. Maybe the key to eliminating the vampire curse is in the original patient and its creator… Or its first healer. I have the feeling that VotBM simply came by a natural (¿?) phenomena and the rest of the community or the RM Q used her as a scapegoat; I think BM vamps have natural immunity or resistance to it and a different set of abilities that the RM vamps which frightened the still new RM vamps and caused the fiasco. Although the existence of others BM vamps besides VotBM is…. not exactly dubious; more like not corroborated by the story? It would also explain why Vanitas thinks healing RM vamps from the curse is such a middle finger to VotBM. He is doing what she was exiled for and the quitted, condemned for or undoing what she deemed appropriate punishment or necessity. It also means that Vanitas objective is not as obscure as we were wondering, just pretty hopeless for a human without help.
So that's that. We’ll see with time!! Thanks for reading my meandering speculations.
